Admission is open to BECE graduates and applicants pursuing National Proficiency programmes through the NVTI pathway. Admission is based on merit, programme requirements and available vacancies.

Free TVET

Regular programmes are delivered free of charge under the Government of Ghana's Free TVET Programme.

Day and boarding

Both day and boarding admission options are available. Applicants should confirm current boarding availability with the Institute during admission.

Regular Certificate pathway

Applicants must have sat for and obtained results in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Applicants must obtain the required aggregate for their chosen programme.
Applicants must demonstrate good character and conduct. Falsification of documents or information may lead to withdrawal of admission.
Learners are encouraged to possess a valid NHIS card before reporting.

NVTI Proficiency pathway

Open to interested applicants ready to pursue short-term vocational training at Proficiency I or Proficiency II level. Entry to Proficiency I normally requires no formal certificate, making it accessible to learners with minimal or no formal education background.

Qualifications

Certification and progression

CTVET Certificate II is awarded through examinations conducted by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training and supports further education on the NTVETQF ladder.

NVTI Proficiency I and II are nationally recognised vocational proficiency certificates that bridge into further technical training.
